Assembly Operator Pontypool
£12.85 per hour Temporary to Ongoing Immediate Start Available

Nu Staff are recruiting for Production Operators to join a well-established manufacturing business in Pontypool. This is a fantastic opportunity to secure a stable role within a supportive production environment, offering long-term prospects and structured training.

As a Production Operator, you ll be responsible for producing, assembling, and upholstering parts in line with standard operating procedures, ensuring the highest levels of quality and safety are maintained at all times. You may also support warehouse operations including stock control and allocation to production lines.

Hours of Work:

  • Monday to Thursday: 7:00AM 4:00PM
  • Friday: 7:00AM 1:00PM

Pay Rate:

  • £12.85 per hour

Key Responsibilities:

  • Produce, assemble, and install parts to the highest quality standards following SOPs
  • Operate machinery such as impact drivers, torque wrenches, vehicle ramps, and diagnostics tools
  • Complete process documentation accurately in line with build instructions
  • Highlight and report any production concerns to Technical or Managerial leads
  • Take ownership of product quality, ensuring compliance with company quality systems
  • Uphold Health & Safety standards at all times, including use of PPE
  • Support housekeeping and hygiene standards within the workplace
  • Contribute to stock management: receipt, control, picking, and replenishment
  • Assist with movement and distribution of stock internally and externally
  • Undertake any other reasonable tasks as requested by management

What We re Looking For:

  • Ability to read and interpret technical documentation and SOPs
  • Quality-focused mindset with commitment to standards
  • Proactive, positive approach with a can do attitude
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage own workload
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Team player with collaborative approach

Desirable Skills:

  • Previous experience in a cellular production environment
  • Knowledge of automotive or production quality standards
  • Experience with hand and air-fed tools (e.g. torque wrench, sanders)
  • Upholstery experience
  • Warehousing knowledge (ERP system use)
  • Forklift licence
  • Relevant NVQ Level 2 qualifications (Manufacturing, Warehousing, or Logistics)

Location:
Pontypool must be able to commute reliably
