Astro Education is seeking qualified and enthusiastic Supply Teachers to support secondary schools in Northwich and the surrounding areas.
This is an excellent opportunity for both experienced educators and early career teachers looking to gain valuable classroom experience while maintaining flexibility. Whether you are looking for full-time, part-time, or ad-hoc work, we can offer opportunities to suit your availability.
As a Supply Teacher, you will deliver pre-planned lessons across a range of subjects and year groups, ensuring continuity of learning during staff absences. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about making a positive impact in the classroom while enjoying a flexible approach to teaching.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver engaging and effective lessons across various subjects and key stages
Maintain a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment
Adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of different learners
Follow school policies and safeguarding procedures
Provide feedback to the school on student progress and behaviour
Ensure continuity of learning in the absence of the regular class teacher
Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), QTLS, or equivalent
Strong classroom management skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Ability to adapt quickly to new school environments
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one)
Eligibility to work in the UK (valid visa/overseas police check if applicable)
Relevant references covering the last two years of employment
