Job Description
We are currently recruiting an experienced Cook to work within a nursing home setting in Littlehampton.
This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who enjoys preparing nutritious food and understands the importance of catering for elderly residents and individuals with specific dietary requirements.
You will be responsible for preparing meals, maintaining high hygiene standards, and ensuring that residents receive quality food in a safe and welcoming environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook meals for residents in line with dietary requirements
- Plan menus and ensure meals are varied, nutritious, and well presented
- Cater for special diets including soft diets, diabetic, vegetarian, and allergen-related requirements
- Maintain kitchen cleanliness and hygiene standards at all times
- Ensure all food is stored, prepared, and served safely
- Monitor stock levels and place orders when required
- Follow food safety, health and safety, and infection control procedures
