Data & ML Architect - Inside IR35 - Hybrid

We are seeking a Data & AI Platform Architect to design and deliver cloud-native data, analytics, and AI platforms across the full data value chain. In this role, you will help our clients build scalable, secure, and sustainable platforms that integrate batch and Real Time processing, robust data management practices, and modern analytics and AI capabilities.

You will combine deep technical expertise with practical delivery experience, working closely with clients to shape architecture, guide implementation, and lead small teams or workstreams. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys staying close to delivery while influencing strategic direction.

• Design and architect end-to-end data and AI platforms using cloud-native technologies
• Define scalable solutions across data ingestion, processing (batch and Real Time), storage, and consumption
• Embed robust data management practices, including governance, quality, security, and life cycle management
• Integrate advanced analytics, Machine Learning, and Generative AI capabilities into enterprise platforms
• Advise clients on best practices, architectural decisions, and technology selection
• Lead and mentor small teams or workstreams, ensuring high-quality delivery
• Collaborate with engineering, data science, and business stakeholders to align solutions with business needs
• Promote modern engineering practices, including CI/CD, infrastructure as code, and automated testing

• Proven experience (5+ years) in data & analytics and AI solution design and delivery
• Demonstrated experience leading implementation for small teams or workstreams
• Strong understanding of cloud-centric architecture and modern platform design principles
• Solid knowledge of core data management concepts across the full data life cycle
• Experience with batch and Real Time data processing frameworks
• Good understanding of CI/CD and modern approaches to IT and infrastructure delivery
• Ability to clearly articulate key concepts in AI, Machine Learning, and Data Mining
• Experience translating AI capabilities (including Generative AI and Large Language Models) into practical enterprise solutions

• Experience working in public sector or regulated industries (eg, government, healthcare)
• Familiarity with data governance frameworks and compliance requirements
• Exposure to responsible AI practices and ethical considerations
