Job Description
A well-established and growing law firm is seeking a Family Law Solicitor or FCILEX to join its busy and supportive Family Law Team on a full-time, permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a solicitor or legal executive with at least 1 year of experience to take ownership of their own caseload while working within a collaborative and forward-thinking team. The role focuses on a broad range of private family matters, including divorce, financial remedy disputes, civil partnership breakdowns, and issues affecting unmarried and cohabiting couples. The position does not involve child law work, allowing the successful candidate to specialise in financial and relationship-based matters. The successful candidate will manage their own caseload with appropriate supervision, while also playing an active role in client engagement and departmental initiatives. This includes assisting with new enquiries, participating in legal surgery sessions, and supporting outreach work with local organisations. There will also be opportunities to contribute to marketing and networking activities, helping to further grow the department's presence. Applicants should have prior experience in family law, including running their own matters and undertaking advocacy. A proactive and personable approach is essential, along with the ability to build strong client relationships and work effectively within a team environment. This role offers genuine career progression for an ambitious individual looking to develop within a respected firm that values both professional growth and community engagement. In return, the firm offers a competitive salary dependent on experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package including 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, a holiday purchase scheme, contributory pension, discretionary bonus scheme, and death in service cover. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Family Law Solicitor or FCILEX looking to take the next step in a role that combines quality work, client interaction, and long-term career development.
