Head of SHEQ Location: West Midlands / Anglia £60-65k + Car allowance Assured Safety Recruitment is delighted to be partnering with a growing multi-disciplinary organisation operating within high-risk sectors to recruit an experienced Head of SHEQ. This is an excellent opportunity for a senior SHEQ professional to play a key leadership role in shaping and driving the company s Safety, Health, Environment & Quality strategy across the business. Reporting into senior leadership, you will be responsible for developing and implementing SHEQ initiatives, ensuring compliance with ISO standards and UK legislation, leading operational safety performance, and embedding a strong culture of continuous improvement across multiple business units. Key Responsibilities: Lead and develop the overall SHEQ strategy and culture across the organisation Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, 14001 & 45001 standards and relevant UK legislation Oversee audits, risk assessments, incident investigations, and corrective actions Drive environmental, sustainability, and ESG initiatives Lead, mentor, and develop SHEQ professionals across the business Build strong relationships with clients, regulators, and operational stakeholders The Ideal Candidate Will Have: NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent) Chartered IOSH or IEMA membership Senior SHEQ leadership experience within construction, utilities, highways, scaffolding, or similar high-risk environments Strong knowledge of UK Health & Safety legislation and ISO management systems Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills This is a fantastic opportunity to join a forward-thinking and ambitious organisation committed to safety, compliance, sustainability, and operational excellence.
