You will be expected to cover the Foyer Rota between the hours of 8am and 8pm, working 7 hours per day Monday Friday and occasional Saturdays. You will also provide cover for other Young Persons schemes as required. What our Foyer Managers does: Here is a taste of what you will get involved with: You will provide overall management of the Foyers including staff management, meeting performance targets, recruitment and funding in accordance with agreed targets and standards. Manage and oversee all MSV s Foyers rental income and securing of appropriate funding. Promotion the Foyers and development of policy and procedures in conjunction with the Head of Young Persons Services. Ensure high level of safeguarding and compliance are achieved for MSV and client group. Ensure Ofsted compliance and inspection readiness, embedding strong safeguarding and quality standards aligned to Ofsted expectations through day-to-day practice, auditing, and evidence-based improvement. Development of partnerships with other agencies in order to support and develop the work of the Foyer. Provide a high-quality service by maintaining the business targets of MSV, local authority, the requirements of accreditation and regulatory bodies. Monitor the performance of the Foyer against agreed standards and targets and report to the Association Board, the Customer and Communities Committee and other agencies, as required. What we are looking for: Significant experience working in youth or social care services. Proven experience of managing staff teams. Strong knowledge of safeguarding, health & safety and support planning. Excellent communication, leadership and organisational skills. Ability to work flexibly, including occasional evenings or on?call duties. A Chartered Institute of Housing level 4 Certificate would be desirable. Role: Senior Teacher - Academic Curriculum Location: Bricklehurst Manor School, Stonegate, TN5 7EL Salary: Up to £48,000 per annum dependent on experience (not pro rata) Hours: 37.5 hours/week, Monday to Friday 8:00 am - 4:00 pm (including one 5 pm finish) Contract: Permanent, Term Time Only Start Date: January 2026 As part of our continued growth, we are seeking a passionate and visionary Curriculum Lead - Academic to join the senior leadership team at Bricklehurst Manor School, a brand-new specialist provision dedicated to supporting students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. About the Role In this pivotal role, you will spearhead the strategic development, implementation, and continuous improvement of an inclusive, differentiated, and aspirational academic curriculum specifically designed to meet the unique needs of students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges. You will work closely with the senior leadership team to ensure that the curriculum not only fosters academic achievement but also promotes emotional resilience, personal growth, and lifelong learning. With a 50% teaching commitment, you will lead by example, delivering outstanding, trauma-informed teaching that adapts to the complex needs of SEMH pupils. Your role will also involve mentoring and coaching teaching staff to embed best practices across the curriculum, creating a cohesive and supportive learning environment. Through the effective use of data, you will monitor student progress, identify barriers to learning, and drive targeted interventions to ensure every student reaches their full potential within a nurturing and therapeutic setting. Key Responsibilities: Lead the design, development, and ongoing refinement of a curriculum that is accessible, engaging, and challenging for students with SEMH needs, ensuring alignment with national standards and best practice. Oversee and implement robust assessment and quality assurance systems that accurately track student progress, inform teaching strategies, and support data-driven decision-making. Model and promote adaptive, trauma-informed teaching approaches that effectively address challenging behaviour and create a safe, supportive classroom climate. Provide leadership, guidance, and professional development opportunities for subject leaders and teaching staff to strengthen curriculum delivery and teaching quality. Manage and allocate curriculum resources efficiently to support teaching and learning priorities. Champion the raising of literacy and numeracy standards across all subjects through innovative strategies and collaborative initiatives. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including therapists and pastoral staff, to integrate academic and emotional support plans for holistic student development. What We're Looking For: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a strong track record of outstanding teaching in SEMH or related specialist education settings. Experience or clear readiness to take on a leadership role with responsibility for curriculum design, implementation, and staff mentoring. In-depth knowledge of SEMH needs and a committed understanding of trauma-informed, relational, and inclusive approaches to teaching and behaviour management. Demonstrable ability to lead, inspire, and support colleagues while fostering a collaborative and positive culture. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, resilience, and the capacity to respond proactively to challenges. A passion for delivering high-quality education and a commitment to continuous professional development. About the School Bricklehurst Manor School is a brand-new, co-educational SEMH school located in Wadhurst, East Sussex, for pupils aged 11-16. The school will cater for up to 60 pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and associated additional needs.
