Bay Freight are looking to recruit a Driver Trainer + Compliance Manager to join their team at their site in Stalybridge. The Role of the Driver Trainer Compliance Manager will be to supervise and maintain full compliance in all aspects of Health & Safety for individuals, equipment and site in accordance with all internal and external regulations and standards. Monday - Friday 50 hours per week Additional benefits: Life assurance Pension Full Uniform and PPE Onsite Parking Cycle to work scheme Loyalty Awards (recognises employees with 5, 10, 20, 30 and 40 years' service) Employee benefits and discounts across a range of top brands (including shopping, travel, motoring and days out) About the job: Monitor and assist all employees to ensure they have the ability to complete their daily tasks in accordance with any Compliance, Health and Safety or Driver regulations without taking, or causing any additional risks; Deliver all Driver CPC training and maintain accurate records to ensure all the required hours are completed prior to their expiry dates; Maintain accurate records for internal purposes and FORS to ensure each location meets all required standards in preparation for both external and internal audits; Fully utilise the telematics systems to monitor driver behaviors and safe driving, including monitoring infringements and completing driver De-Briefs to ensure they are driving safely and efficiently and meeting agreed KPI's; Work closely with HR to induct and train all new employees during the onboarding process with regards to Health & Safety, Safe Working Practices and Driver regulations to ensure each employee has the skills and knowledge to work safely both within their role and environment; Promote health & safety activities and initiatives to encourage and embed the importance of health and safety within the workplace; Review and implement all training requirements for both operational staff and drivers to ensure all employees are compliant; Support operational staff with keeping up to date with all legislation that could affect the business and O Licence to ensure both the Company and the Group remain compliant; Collate required information, including Driver behaviors into Group reports in order for the Compliance Department to maintain accurate statistical data; Report and review accidents and update the HSE portal as and required to maintain full visibility of all incidents; Your knowledge and experience: International CPC Instructors Licence Approved Driver CPC trainer Class 1 driving licence IOSH desirable FORS Practioner desirable An in-depth knowledge of Health & Safety and Driver Regulations Comprehensive knowledge of Transport, warehousing and plant legislation FORS Telematics systems such as TruTac, microlise, haultech Extensive operational experience of logistics services Experience of completing driver assessments Preparation of all business documentation and training for audits including FORS Completing risk assessments, and implementing policies and procedures Ability to demonstrate, understand and apply our Company values. Learning and Development Trainer Contract Type: Temporary basis of 3 months plus. Location: Liverpool Pay rate: £23.17ph plus holiday pay Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week We are seeking an experienced Learning and Development Trainer to join a large public sector organisation on a temporary basis. This role involves delivering both classroom and digital training for new starters (but mainly digital), ongoing training needs, and compliance with new legislation. Day-to-day of the role: Design and deliver training programmes for onboarding and continual training needs. Collaborate with managers and other stakeholders to assess training and development requirements. Organise and support training dates, including planning locations for onsite sessions. Review and analyse training outcomes, report results, and track progress. Ensure compliance with all health & safety and legislative training requirements. Work within the team to promote best practices in professional development. Manage training budgets and resources. Be flexible regarding travel and occasional out-of-hours training sessions. Required Skills & Qualifications: Proven experience as an L&D professional or Trainer, ideally within a healthcare setting. Strong ability to design and deliver both online and classroom training. Experience in meeting legislative training requirements. Excellent organisational and communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Must have a valid driver's licence and own vehicle for travel to various sites across the Northwest. This permanent position is ideal for an experienced Driver Trainer looking to step into a supervisory role while continuing to deliver training and support to drivers.Driver Trainer / Compliance Supervisor Key Responsibilities:Act as the nominated Driver Trainer, delivering pre-employment assessments, inductions and ongoing driver training (including long trailer assessments).Conduct driving assessments, risk assessments, and compliance checks across a fleet of 12 vehicles.Provide alternate Saturday cover, including:Tachograph downloadsMatching tractor and trailer units for Monday runsPreparing driver folders for Monday operationsManage vehicle servicing in line with maintenance schedules.Transport vehicles to and from Hexagon for servicing and repairs.Carry out routine vehicle checks.Process tachograph infringements and brief drivers accordingly.Provide holiday cover for the Traffic Manager when required.Step in for route cover in the event of driver absence.Participate in an on call rota, including driving Class 1 vehicles at short notice to cover sickness or emergencies between 01:00 and 12:00 midday.
