The Ideal Candidate Will Have Experience working with young children with SEND, particularly non-verbal pupils (nursery or early years experience desirable). Confidence and sensitivity when providing personal care. A calm, patient, and empathetic approach. An understanding of child development and inclusive practice. Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team. A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. Desirable (but not essential) Training or experience in Makaton, PECS, or AAC. Experience supporting pupils with autism or complex needs. Relevant childcare or teaching assistant qualifications.
