Vivid are currently working on an interim Principal Quantity Surveyor position with an organisation in the North of Scotland predominantly working on commercial work with the likes of schools and educational properties to manage the assets which is around £6-7 million per year. This will deal with the likes of windows, doors, roofs, walls etc. You will need experience of managing as you will be managing a team of 3 QS Assistants, and a few Clerk of Works. The role will be dealing in all aspects managing the assets including cost estimating, financial management of assets, procurement, tendering, payments, scoping reports etc. This is a hybrid role with more presence expected in the summer months as this is when schools will be on holiday. There is a monthly progress meeting which you will need to attend. For the right person they are happy to look at a working model that suits. Would be good if you have worked with JCT or NEC and have Scottish contract knowledge.
