The Role: As a Class 2 Hiab (with remote grab) driver you will be delivering building materials to a variety of customers in and around London, this must be done safely, efficiently and routes given must be followed. Experience of Hiab is essential. The responsibilities of the Hiab operator will include but not be limited to: Vehicle checks to ensure road worthiness and compliance with DVSA AM/PM Compliance with Health and Safety (SSOW), Covid-19 hygiene and other related legislation Ensuring load is strapped safely and securely Delivering safely with the use of Hiab brick grab The Person:HGV Licence with Hiab Remote Grab is essential along with a Digital Tachograph and an in date CPC Experience: Class 2 Hiab with remote brick grab Strong communication and teamwork are an essential part of this role The ability to complete paperwork accurately Fluent English is required No heavy lifting

Mon - Friday Various Start Times Days - £15.50 - £16.00p/h PAYE You will be required to : Operation of Crane and Vehicle: Operate the HIAB crane for loading and unloading goods and drive the HGV to various delivery locations. Safety: Ensure safety protocols are followed for both the vehicle and the crane, check the site for obstructions, and set outriggers for stability before lifting operations. Load Security: Securely attach chains and straps to loads, double-check and secure the daily load before transport. Equipment Checks: Perform routine maintenance and daily checks on both the HGV and the HIAB crane to ensure they are in safe working order. Paperwork: Complete and submit necessary paperwork and logs related to deliveries and operations Make on time deliveries to various locations. Have knowledge of drivers hours/regulations. Hold a Valid C UK driving licence. Hold a valid UK DCPC and valid UK digicard. 1+ years Hiab licence/experience. Work in a professional manner. Be prepared to undertake site inductions and training. Have excellent geographical knowledge. Be able to follow company procedures and keep various people informed of progress or delays. Class 2 HGV HIAB Driver Key Responsibilities: Operate Heavy Goods Vehicle (HGV) and lorry-mounted crane (HIAB) in compliance with safety regulations and company policies. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle and equipment are in safe working condition. Deliver building materials to various customer sites as per the delivery schedule. Ensure all deliveries are made accurately and within the allocated timeframes. Safely load and unload materials using the HIAB crane. Secure loads correctly to prevent damage and ensure safety during transit. Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with customers and addressing any issues or concerns promptly. Represent the company professionally at all times. Maintain accurate delivery records, including delivery notes and vehicle logbooks. Comply with all traffic laws and regulations, including hours of service and health and safety guidelines. Report any vehicle or equipment defects immediately to the transport manager. Assist with routine maintenance and cleaning of the vehicle.
