If you're looking for a new experience, and you're used to leading varied teams, achieving high standards and running smooth operations, you could make a real difference by working for Europe's largest conservation charity. We're looking for a Property Operations Manager at Lyveden, to be responsible for the daily operation of this busy and much-loved National Trust site, and for introducing improvements to make it as welcoming as possible for everyone. This role is also responsible for the Priest's House (at Easton on the Hill), working with the volunteer management group who oversee the day to day opening arrangements. What it's like to work here Lyveden is a small property, with a small team of staff and dedicated volunteers all working together to provide great, safe experiences for our visitors. This means that everyone is ready to support where they can to make the place a success. There's a great team spirit here and a lot of passion for the property. You'll need to be someone that's willing to help out where needed. As it's primarily an outdoors site, you'll also need to be up for working in all weathers too. What you'll be doing You'll line manage the Senior Visitor Experience Officer, Community, Participation & Volunteering Coordinator, Area Ranger and Business Services Coordinator. You'll be leading for great visitor experiences, ensuring your team delivers an engaging and varied visitor programme and that they achieve their income targets. You'll be responsible for facilities management on site, ensuring the site is safe and well maintained. This will be supported by the cross-portfolio Facilities Manager. You'll support the outdoors team on the delivery of their work and conservation management. You'll work with the Community, Participation & Volunteering Coordinator to ensure we a provide a fantastic volunteering experience on site, and look for new opportunities for us to engage with our local community. Overall, you'll lead the day to day running of the site, ensuring Duty Manager rotas are in place, budgets are reached and cost controls are managed. Some weekend working and bank holiday working is expected on a rota basis. Who we're looking for We'd love to hear from you if you're: practised and confident in managing fast-paced operations an inspiring leader and manager of people, adept at leading diverse professional teams a skilled collaborator and communicator, comfortable with taking decisions aware of the importance of excellent service, growing support for an important cause and high standards of presentation up to date with health and safety, compliance and emergency procedures familiar with business planning, growing income and managing budgets committed to making sure experiences are truly for everyone, with practical knowledge of improving accessibility in a workplace or visitor attraction. To coordinate and develop high quality well attended events To ensure we get accurate participation data about student enterprise, working with the manager to enable KPI reporting To collaborate with social enterprise staff across the university landscape and experts to ensure student activities meet a genuine need and will have social impact Support the Social Enterprise Manager to coordinate a network of local businesses, non profits, and government agencies to support the growth and sustainability of social enterprise ventures With leadership from the Social Enterprise Manager, collect and manage data accurately to enable impact measurement and data insights to continuously improve and refine the programme
