A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Customs Entry clerk has arisen to join highly successful Freight Forwarder in in the Ipswich area. Monday to Friday 8:30am - 5pm £28,000 - £32,000 DOE Plus Bonus Previous experience in processing and completing Import and export entries using CDS, for European road freight clearances and deep-sea ocean freight clearances. Confidence in navigating HMRC's online tariffs (UK online trade tariff and other .Gov resources) with a solid understanding of customs commodity codes, procedures and CDS requirements. Knowledge of Free Trade Agreements, as well as an understanding of Origin and Preference. Experience of a wide range of entry declarations (including home use, returned goods, temporary import/export, multiple item). Experience with CNS and Destin8 port systems. Our forwarding software is Multifreight/Multished, experience with this software would be beneficial. Able to calculate and process customs duties and taxes, ensuring efficient clearance of goods through ports of entry. Confidence in communicating with customs authorities, shipping agents, internal departments, and clients to resolve issues and provide guidance Able to raise T1 documents and knowledge regarding the transit procedure. Job creating and invoicing. Strong attention to detail, ensuring work meets the AEO standards. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel. Being part of a team responsible for arranging a variety of customs declarations for key clients, ensuring prompt processing to maintain a high level of service.

Road Freight Operator Requirements: Proven experience as a Road Freight Operator within a freight forwarding environment. In-depth knowledge of road freight regulations and procedures (UK and European). Strong geographical knowledge and understanding of road networks. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in freight management software and Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
