On behalf of our client, we are seeking to recruit a Manufacturing Support Engineer on an initial 8-month contract. In this role, you will support the production team at shopfloor level, driving continuous improvement and Operational Excellence. You will help resolve recurring technical issues, optimize production processes, and ensure efficient use of resources to enable smooth and effective operations. Role: Manufacturing Support Engineer Pay: 36 per hour Via Umbrella + Shift allowance Location: Broughton Contract: Monday - Friday, Double day shifts Week of mornings - 6:00am - 1:10pm, Week of afternoons - 1:30pm - 8:40pm, 8-month contract IR35 Status: Inside Security Clearance : BPSS Responsibilities Daily / on shift line side support to manage technical issues & continuous improvement: missing parts, non-conformities, concessions if applicable / DQN, Outstanding Work, maintenance, jigs & tools. Perform Work Order Management for out of cycle work. Escalate recurrent issues & request support to the Work Prep, PPE, Maintenance, MAP & Outstanding Work support functions roles, if not manageable at level 1 Support capacity management: anticipate capacity fluctuation to cover changes in the PLC (product life cycle situation) and grow competence. Support on identifying issues in production as well as problems not solvable by the FLM and operators and escalate/request support to the Work Prep (PE), Line Balancing (PPE), Maintenance, MAP & OSW or support function roles. Support in ensuring that production processes and standards are applied on the station. Support in ensuring that quality standards are applied on the station. Support the prioritization of pulling materials related to Rework Work Order to the respective executing station. Essential & Desirable Skills: Extensive experience in Manufacturing/ lineside experience essential. NVQ Level 4 or acceptable alternative required. The role is long term and the project includes non lineside civil's works within a railway environment. The client is looking for someone that can start as soon as possible and the successful candidate will have a proven track record working for well established rail contractors. Experienced Warehouse & Forklift Operative required for large, global manufacturer based at their site in Plymouth. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out the movement of goods from point of entry around the factory including to and from stores, machine shop and production lines and loading onto vehicles to enable transportation to end customer, in accordance with company Health & Safety and quality procedures and in line with the company s values and behaviours. Key Responsibilities: Load and unload vehicles in accordance with company procedure. Load preparation and checking. Pick kits or parts according to work order or pick list. Issue parts to machine shop and production in line with the Plan. Put product away in relevant stores or warehouse location. Pack parts in accordance with packing instructions, including sub contract. Prepare seal kits and other spare parts for shipment prior to packing, in line with agreed processes. Labelling of product. Unpack and decant product. Enable replenishment process of lineside and Kanban stock Allocate product to sales orders Collect defect product from factory and process RTS Execute required SAP transactions for; booking in, picking, packing and standard stock movements Execute WMS transactions Daily 5s General forklift truck driving Work within company safety policy and procedures Essential Experience & Candidate Attributes Required: Recent, proven experience working as a warehouse and forklift operative ideally within manufacturing or engineering. Managing and delivering a defined asset condition survey work bank, aligning with statutory compliance requirements, ensuring surveys are completed to prescribed deadlines and relevant company standards 2. Actively contributing to the development of vigorous survey programmes and regularly reporting to the Assistant Delivery Manager on progress against the programmes. 3. Developing survey strategies for individual work bank and providing written delivery plans for each detailed survey on a yearly basis. 4. Reporting asset conditions via standard company pro forma and through the company asset management system software, ensuring all asset survey information is uploaded and updated as required. 5. Liaising with Asset Engineers to assist with development of maintenance priority lists and 5 year business plans based on asset conditions as reported during annual asset condition surveys. Highlighting key risk areas and defect trends found back to Asset Engineer. 6. Assisting the Asset Engineer to produce written technical work scopes and schedules where required for our maintenance teams to deliver planned maintenance activities and reactive repairs. 7. Monitoring ongoing planned and reactive maintenance schemes and reporting progress and quality issues back to the Asset Engineer. 8. Where required, attending hand-back of planned maintenance schemes in place of the Asset Engineer, ensuring all works are completed as per design and to satisfactory quality and accept asset back into maintenance portfolio utilising company processes, policies and standards. 9. Undertaking all required training and continued professional development to ensure continued compliance with our standards and rail specific competencies, including personal track safety. 10. Following all Network Rail policies, processes and standards and completing all mandatory periodic reports and checklist documentation. 11. CDM Regulations 2015: Completing the role responsibilities allocated to the role of Building Surveyor under the Route Asset Manager s CDM 2015 RACI, and ensuring all responsibilities are delivered on behalf of the business in line with company standards. 12. Working nights and weekends when necessary. 13. Occasional working away from home as required by the business.
