Job Title: SEN Primary Teacher (Maternity Cover) Location: Hambrook School, Burgess Hill, West Sussex Hours: 40 hours per week Monday-Friday 8am - 4.30pm Salary: Up to £44,310.00 per annum (depending on experience, no pro rata) Contract: Fixed term- 9/12 months Term Time Only Start: September 2026 UK applicants only - no sponsorship available About the Role We're looking for a passionate and dedicated Primary SEN Teacher who believes every child deserves the chance to thrive. You'll deliver personalised, high quality learning for primary aged pupils with diverse and complex needs, helping them build confidence, independence and a love of learning. Key responsibilities: Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons for individuals and small groups Track, record and report on pupil progress Create a safe, structured and inspiring primary classroom environment Develop and review personalised plans (IEPs, IBPs) Support LSAs and other staff to deliver consistent, high quality learning Work effectively with challenging behaviour and promote self regulation Communicate clearly with families, colleagues and wider professionals Safeguard and promote pupil wellbeing at all times Who We're Looking For QTS or Degree equivalent required Strong understanding of primary practice, SEN and safeguarding Excellent communication, teamwork and relationship building skills A proactive, resilient and compassionate approach Commitment to professional standards and ongoing development A passion for helping young learners achieve their full potential Driving licence required About Us Hambrook School is an independent specialist school in Burgess Hill, West Sussex, for pupils aged 5-18 with autism and an EHCP.
