The client are a leading global manufacturer of paints and coatings. They are recruiting for a Maintenance Operative to join their team in Redditch. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the sites building and production machinery is inspected, maintained and kept in good order. Key responsibilities and duties; Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive mechanical maintenance across the site Repair of pneumatic systems, pumps, mixers and filling lines, particularly those used in paint/chemical processing. Build, modify and install machinery to correct specifications. Repair of tanks, vessels and other mechanical plant infrastructure. Complete building site maintenance checks. Liaise with external contractors and suppliers to oversee planned and emergency works. Ensure all maintenance works and tasks are logged correctly. Contribute to the companies health and safety culture, performing risk assessments and promoting a safe working environment. Skills and experience required; Minimum 3 years of working in a maintenance role. Strong mechanical and electrical skills. Good diagnostic and problem solving skills. Able to carry loads and physically fit. A valid driving license. Computer literate. The role is on Days and is Monday to Friday.
