Our Client has a requirement for an Internal Sales Engineer with experience in Electrical control and automation to provide sales and technical support to the external customer base, whilst developing and maintaining customer relationships and promoting products and services to maximise sales opportunities. You will liaise with Field Sales Engineers and other staff to achieve the branch objectives and sales performance and as is normal in a small team environment engage in other duties. It is also expected that you have commercial ability and awareness to generate quotation for customers and are competent to judge the competitive situation needed to win the order whilst being mindful of profitability. In order to perform this role successfully you will need technical electrical knowledge, there is flexibility on the qualification if you can illustrate your knowledge, product applications knowledge and commercial awareness. The ideal candidate may already be in a similar role as an internal sales engineer, technical support engineer, an electrical engineer looking to move into a commercial environment with the ability to illustrate good customer and administrative skills, or a graduate engineer with customer experience in a sales environment looking to develop their career in technical sales. Knowledge and Experience GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent) None mandatory but relevant knowledge and experience must be demonstrated or possibly ONC/HNC in Electrical engineering (or other electrical engineering qualification) Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and data entry systems Full clean driving licence Experience in similar sales /customer service environment.
