Operate site plant and equipment. Fit prefabricated sheet metal (flashings and trims) and structural decking. Install roof, vertical and horizontal cladding systems. Ensure that all work carried out is done safely in accordance with the Company s policies and appropriate Method Statements/Risk Assessments. Understand drawings and follow safe working practices in the preassembly and erection of structural steelwork at low and high levels. Sling loads, signal and work with cranes. Carry out crane supervisor duties in accordance with training. Working at height and operating high level access equipment e.g. Mobile Operating Platforms (MEWP s) You will have To be successful as a Steel Erector/Steel Fitter A full UK driving licence. A valid CSCS Steel Erector and / or Cladder card (from NVQ assessment). A valid CPCS Slinger / signaller card. A valid CPCS Plant Operator card or IPAF for MEWPS Operator card. We are looking for experienced Steel Erectors to join our team on a major cement plant project in Sheerness. This role involves the erection of approximately 350T of structural steelwork, including columns up to 18 metres in length. Candidates must be confident working on large-scale industrial steel erection projects and committed to maintaining high safety standards. Key Details: 10-hour shifts, 6 days per week Phase 1: Approx. 6 weeks (Phase 2 to commence shortly after) Immediate start available Competitive rates depending on experience and qualifications Responsibilities: Erecting, aligning, and bolting heavy steel columns and structures Working with columns up to 18m in length Reading and interpreting technical drawings and lift plans Ensuring all work is carried out in line with strict health & safety standards Coordinating with crane teams and site supervisors Requirements: Valid CSCS / NVQ Level 2 in Steel Erecting (essential) IPAF, CPCS/NPORS (Slinger/Signaller or Crane Supervisor beneficial) Proven experience in heavy steel erection and working at height
