Use technical expertise to produce accurate and reliable project outputs and deliverables. OR five years of work experience in a relevant role. Competence in using design software that is appropriate for the role, eg AutoCAD suite including Civil 3D and other packages. A working understanding of guidance and good practice in healthy street design, including inclusive design principles and a holistic approach to creating places. A working understanding of health and safety management, including how to apply the CDM Regulations. Job Title: Senior CAD Designer Location: Barrow-in-Furness. We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements - please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role Salary: Negotiable, circa £35,000 + What you'll be doing: Working on the design and production of the 3D model of the whole boat primary structure Producing 2D drawing outputs to support the manufacturing and production teams in product build and delivery Collaborating as a team, sharing best practice and improving our product and design Your skills and experiences: Previous experience within a design role with a background from a high hazard industry such as Civil, Structures, Marine, Oil & Gas Environment/background, Ship Buildings or submarines preferable Ability to use CAD Packages, particularly FORAN, SIEMENS NX and/or Solidworks Knowledge of techniques, processes and tools for large scale detailed designs of platforms, assemblies, systems and equipment installation Benefits: As well as a competitive pension scheme, BAE Systems also offers employee share plans, an extensive range of flexible discounted health, wellbeing and lifestyle benefits, including a green car scheme, private health plans and shopping discounts - you may also be eligible for an annual incentive.
