Job Description We are seeking a highly motivated HPC Hardware Engineer to join our UK Data Centre team. In this role, you will play a key part in the development, implementation, and support of High Performance Computing (HPC) infrastructure, gaining invaluable hands-on experience with hardware and cloud technologies. Key Responsibilities Hardware Maintenance & Support: CPU/GPU, oil-immersion servers, air-cooled servers, storage systems, interactive servers, and infrastructure services. Hardware Lifecycle Management: Installation, decommissioning, spare parts handling, and lease oversight. Data Centre Operations: Rack cabling standards, equipment audits, IT workshop upkeep, and documentation management. Service Management: Incident, problem, and change management with a focus on continual improvement. Collaboration & Projects: Contribute to system and application deployments, participate in technical meetings, and support troubleshooting activities. Qualifications and Experience Required BSc or MSc in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Computer Information Systems (minimum 2-3 years of experience). Strong knowledge of Linux distributions. IT literacy with basic troubleshooting skills. Excellent communication, customer service, and teamwork abilities. A proactive, problem-solving mindset with eagerness to learn. Preferred Experience with HPC system architecture (compute and/or storage). Exposure to Systems Administration and scripting languages.
