The Role: As a Senior Frontend Engineer, youll collaborate closely with other Front End developers and be a mentor to more junior developers that are eager to learn. Together, you and the team will craft micro Front End applications that redefine automotive commerce. Your expertise in the Front End will drive technical excellence and innovation across projects. Key Responsibilities: Lead technical aspects of Front End development projects, collaborating with Front End/Back End engineers, Product teams, QA and commercial when required. Scope project requirements, conduct technical workshops, and produce specifications. Drive software craftsmanship and maintain high engineering standards. Requirements: Extensive experience in Front End development, with proficiency in Angular. Previous exposure to automated testing, TDD, and continuous delivery practices. Proven track record of deploying multiple times a day in a fast-paced environment. Excellent ability with HTML, CSS, vanilla Javascript and Typescript. Proficiency with web browser APIs and HTTP. Logical engineer who keenly avoids over-engineering solutions. Holds high quality code in a delivery focused setting. Experience developing shared code libraries (NPM packages). They are looking for a natural leader and expert with Java based automation frameworks. As well as defining strategies and mentoring, you will be very hands on with contract testing. What experience you'll bring: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience in Agile delivery teams using TDD (Test-Driven Development) with Java. Ideally some experience with Springboot and dependency injection Ability to work autonomously. Experience with PACT frameworks for Consumer Contract testing is desirable. Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and their importance in the Automation Testing process. Exposure to command line and scripting languages for at least one OS (Windows or Linux). Good coding skills (SOLID, DI, Design Patterns, etc.). Ability to unit test the frameworks you build. Qualifications and experience required: A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience. Expertise in API testing using Postman. Proficiency in Cypress and Docker for containerised testing. Proven track record of using Gitlab for test automation storage. Strong foundation in TDD using Junit. Familiarity with SonarQube, Jenkins, Splunk, Gatling, Serenity, Cucumber, Selenium, Wiremock, Hamcrest, AWS Cloudwatch, Jira, and Confluence. Nice to have: - Experience with mocks and stubs. - Advanced knowledge of DevOps and Agile Development. - Ability to lead projects and design test strategies.
