Role Purpose: As an Incoming Quality Inspector, you will play a vital role in the inspection of incoming piece parts for R&D electric motors and controllers. Your keen eye for detail will ensure that only the highest quality components make it through the doors. Summary: Start date: ASAP Duration: 6 months ongoing Location: Shirley, Solihull Pay Rate: 30 - 35.00 per hour via Umbrella Hours: 37 hours per week - Monday to Friday - 4 days required on site Key Responsibilities: Inspection Activities: Conduct thorough goods inwards inspections, review dimension reports from suppliers, and segregate non-conforming materials. Technical Skills: Utilise precision measurement tools (vernier calipers, micrometers, height gauges) and interpret technical drawings/CAD models effectively. Compliance: Maintain adherence to customer requirements and AS9100D standards - quality is key! Documentation: Generate inspection reports, maintain meticulous records, and initiate corrective actions as necessary. Proactive Reporting: Be the eyes and ears of the operation notifying supervisors and stakeholders promptly of any serious defects, complete with photos and detailed notes to support your findings. Essential Requirements: Previous experience in aerospace, automotive, precision engineering, or other regulated industries. A strong mechanical or electrical background that you can draw upon in your daily tasks. Proficiency in manual measurement techniques; familiarity with CMM or Faro arms is a plus! Preferred Qualifications: Experience working with AS9100 standards. Familiarity with ESD environments. Knowledge of SAP and CMM systems. Why Join Us?
