_ Fostering Done Differently! _ Evergreen Foster Care is a highly specialised service that focuses on placing children and young people from children's homes into intensively supported, foster care families. The aim is to provide homes for children and young people who would not be able to access standard foster care, but could, if adequately supported, make the transition to a family environment. As children and young people coming out of residential care usually have a range of challenges, only one foster child can be placed with a family at any one time. We understand how difficult it is to foster so we place a great emphasis on valuing our carers and offering them the tools to become therapeutic parents and part of a professional community. We offer up to 62 nights respite per year, generous financial allowances, fortnightly carer days, 1 to 1 therapy sessions, a mobile app to make their recording easy, a bespoke training package, and a 24/7 telephone support service. Supervising Social Workers, Family Support Workers & Therapists have small caseloads to allow time for stability and trust. Due to recent growth, we are looking for a new Full-Time Supervising Social Worker. Our head office is in Tunstall, Stoke-on-Trent but travel is an essential part of the role, as we now have families in Staffordshire, Cheshire, Derbyshire, West Midlands and Liverpool. 30 days Annual Leave per year, and an extra day for Birthday following 1 Year of Employment. Key responsibilities: As a Supervising Social Worker, you will be responsible for: Supervising a small case load of fostering families. Completing Form F assessments and supporting the applicants to Panel. Support the agency in delivering our robust training and support package to new applicants and approved foster carers. Undertaker foster carer reviews and present to the Panel. Ensure records are kept up-to-date. Intuitive Care helps to reduce unnecessary administration as we believe in keeping things simple yet efficient! Supporting foster carers to maintain their own record keeping. Our foster carers also use Intuitive Care to reduce their administrative responsibilities. Assist the Registered Manager and therapy team in training and reflection sessions with foster carers. Support foster carers at meetings. Participate fully and flexibly in the on-call telephone rota. Be able to manage one's own time and be aware that flexible working hours will sometimes be essential as training, events & panel meetings can be scheduled on weekends. Attend supervision, team meetings and staff days and prepare adequately. Set a good example in terms of dress, punctuality and attendance. Be proactive in matters relating to child protection and health and safety. Work with team members to achieve a warm, familial, therapeutic atmosphere. Promote the ethos and model of Evergreen at all times. Requirements of the Supervising Social Worker: BA Hons SW, CQSW, DipSW or equivalent. Membership of relevant professional body. The Role We're looking for an experienced Automation Engineer to take ownership of site PLC software and electrical control systems for a food manufacturing facility. Reporting to the Site Engineering Manager, you'll be responsible for writing, maintaining, and troubleshooting automation systems while supporting and developing the wider engineering team. Head of Operations and Manufacturing, Heavy Engineering The Opportunity We're looking for a decisive, hands on Head of Operations and Manufacturing to lead our manufacturing and fabrication operations through a critical phase of improvement and growth. This is a high impact role at the heart of the business, reporting to our Managing Director where production discipline, technical credibility, and strong leadership genuinely move the needle. If you excel in challenging settings, know how to stabilise and improve performance, and can build robust production capability, this is a chance to shape a facility with significant potential. The Role You will take full ownership of the manufacturing and fabrication function, ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient output across welding, plating, and other heavy engineering disciplines, including CNC Plasma and Gas cutting and a semi-automated panel production line. Working as a peer to the Programme Director, you'll ensure production flow supports project delivery and customer milestones. You'll lead a team including your Production Manager and Supervisors, driving a culture of accountability, technical excellence, and continuous improvement. A key priority will be maximising the use of equipment, labour, and workshop space to deliver predictable, dependable production flow. What you'll do Lead and develop your fabrication function and the apprenticeship program Drive gains in productivity, quality, safety, and schedule adherence Optimise shop floor layout, equipment utilisation, and workforce deployment Training and skill set development to ensure our workforce is fully skilled in multi disciplines Embed Lean, Six Sigma, and CI practices that deliver measurable results Work closely with Project Managers to align resources with complex build programmes Strengthen trade discipline and reinforce engineering led decision making Operate effectively within a unionised workforce Grow leadership capability across your production teams Contribute directly to the wider business turnaround and operational strategy Who are we looking for? An experienced production leader who has developed from a trade background and understands the demands of heavy fabrication and engineering environments. Time served apprenticeship in a relevant heavy engineering trade (welding, plating, fabrication, fitting, etc.) HNC / HND or equivalent technical progression would be good Strong track record in leading production teams within fabrication or heavy engineering Deep understanding of Lean, Six Sigma, and CI tools Practical experience working with unionised labour Proven leadership in fast paced, complex, or turnaround settings What do you need to be? Technically credible and respected by tradespeople An exceptional planner with a focus on production flow and resource optimisation Decisive, pragmatic, and confident in high pressure situations Able to motivate and challenge teams while building capability Commercially aware and delivery driven Why Join Us?
