They are now seeking a skilled and experienced CAD Engineer to join their trusted and successful business. THE ROLE:To assist and support the Drawing Office team with day-to-day duties associated with the department.Main Duties and Responsibilities:The preparation, processing and distribution of necessary drawings, cutting lists and technical details required to manufacture our Holiday Homes.To assist Furniture & Jig Draughtspeople on a daily basis with the creation of new drawings for both production purposes and new product development. Processing modifications on pre-existing drawings.To assist with the production of CSV notching files by manually extracting applicable data from live drawings using bespoke software built into AutoCAD.To assist with the printing & plotting of line/side shop requested 'replacement' drawings.To assist with Aftersales and Warranty queries, providing drawings and cutting lists where required.Working hours are Monday to Thursday 7.30am to 5.00pm Friday 7.30am to 11.30am.THE CANDIDATE :Good knowledge of AutoCAD 2020 (upwards) with the ability to draught in 2D. Position: Assistant Gas Engineer Salary: 30000 p/annum Location: Based in Tiverton/Exeter Hours: Full-time, 42.5 hours p/week. We're currently recruiting for a Mains & Services Assistant Engineer (Level 1) to join a busy and growing team working on gas network installations. About the Role This is a hands-on, varied position supporting Mains & Services Gas Engineers across a wide range of domestic and commercial projects. Work includes installing pipework, supporting underground vessel installations, and working across new housing developments and caravan parks. You'll be involved in: Assisting with installation of gas pipework to domestic properties Working with a grundomat (mole) for trenchless pipe installation Digging pits manually (ground conditions permitting) and completing reinstatement Supporting underground vessel installations (working alongside excavator teams) Testing and commissioning pipework Working on new build sites (open trench) and commercial installations This is an outdoor role in a physically demanding environment, working in all weather conditions . Key Responsibilities Support Mains & Services Engineers in daily operations Ensure high standards of health, safety, and environmental compliance Deliver excellent customer service when working on-site Accurately complete and submit all required paperwork Follow company quality procedures and safe working practices Use tools and equipment in line with best practice Contribute to operational efficiency and team performance Skills & Experience Required Full UK Driving Licence (essential) SHEA Gas (preferred) Qualifications in Fresh Air Breathing Apparatus and Abrasive Wheels NPORS (or similar) Forward Tipping Dumper (advantageous) Strong work ethic and willingness to work in a physically demanding role Good awareness of health & safety practices What's on Offer Monday to Friday working Overtime paid at 1.5x rate Accommodation, meals, and overnight allowance provided when working away Opportunities to progress and develop Long-term career prospects within the gas industry
