An established manufacturer in Mildenhall is growing its production team and looking for motivated individuals to join. This hands-on role offers full training and the chance to gain valuable experience operating machinery in a fast-paced environment. With flexible shifts, strong team support, and a clear path to a permanent role, it's a great opportunity to build and grow a long-term career in manufacturing. What's the pay? Depending on the department you join, you can earn between 14.00 and 19.00 p/hour, with the added benefit of an enhanced overtime rate! Hours of work? The shifts required for this role are from 06:00 to 18:00, three or four days a week, with one of those days being a weekend. Additionally, there are also night shifts available from 18:00 to 06:00. Where is the job? Located in Mildenhall, Suffolk. It is commutable for someone who lives in Thetford, Bury St Edmunds, Newmarket, or Ely and has on-site parking. Machine Operative Duties? Operating machinery in both assembly and lathe areas of the workshop Performing full start-up and shutdown procedures for machines as needed Conducting minor maintenance and troubleshooting to ensure smooth operation Monitoring production quality and addressing any issues promptly Assisting with tooling changes and machine adjustments Ensuring a clean and organised working environment Supporting team efforts to meet production targets and deadlines Who are we looking for? Experienced candidates would be ideal; however, someone with a drive & the willingness to learn and upskill themselves are also desired.
