Five Education is seeking Supply Learning Support Assistants to work across a range of school settings in Gloucestershire, including nurseries, primary schools, secondary schools, and specialist SEND provisions.This role is ideal for those who enjoy variety and want to gain experience supporting children and young people with SEND in a range of settings. As a supply LSA, you ll work on a flexible, day-to-day basis (with the opportunity to move into long-term and contract roles) in local educational settings. You ll support students with their learning, emotional wellbeing, and daily routines, adapting your approach to suit the age group and individual needs of each student. The students you support may have a variety of additional learning needs, including ASC, ADHD, or SEMH. Previous experience working in schools or with children in a care or support capacity is desirable, but not essential. What matters most is your ability to build positive relationships with young learners, your adaptability, and your genuine interest in helping children reach their potential. Main Responsibilities: Support students both 1:1 and in small groups by making the curriculum accessible and fun Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCo and other staff members to address the individual needs of students Assist with classroom tasks, activities, and resource preparation Promote positive behaviour and help manage any challenging situations calmly and professionally Provide personal care or physical support, if required Follow safeguarding procedures and school policies at all times Essential Criteria: Empathetic, patient, and enthusiastic about supporting young people Flexible and adaptable happy to work across different school types and age groups Available to work Monday to Friday, 8 30 (term-time only) Right to work in the UK we are unable to offer sponsorship or accept Skilled Worker visas Able to provide two recent references (from the last two years) Up-to-date DBS/police check, or be willing to obtain one Please note, if you do not have a Non-Voluntary Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, we will need to help you process a new one at a cost of £62.70.
