The Nest Restaurant on site is fast paced and offers a bistro inspired menu from morning to evening. We use the best ingredients, producing fresh dishes from around the world. All of our desserts and cakes are homemade. We also operate a more informal 'food-to-go' menu where guests can order from our Copper Goose menu by simply scanning, ordering, and paying. Our friendly staff will then deliver directly to their lodge. Menu choices include but are not limited to breakfast items, homemade stone baked pizzas, burgers and other trend setting takeaway dishes. We are extremely proud of our state of the art commercial kitchen, which has the highest specification of work areas, appliances, and technology to maximise cooking efficiency. ABOUT THE ROLES We are currently looking for a Chef de Partie, Junior sous chef . You will be responsible for delivering consistent and memorable service time after time to our guests, preparing and cooking fresh food in a timely manner and to a high standard of quality and presentation. You will also carry out food preparation, stock rotation, food safety and hygiene and completion of paperwork. Our team will also work with the Executive Chef to implement any promotional packages for guests. We are looking for like-minded professional individuals with drive, ambition, dedication, and the will to learn new techniques and set culinary excellence. The ideal candidates will be passionate about food, be self-motivated and be able to work under pressure. We need our team members to be flexible in their approach and have their own transport due to the location of our site and limited public transport routes. HOURS OF WORK Working 30-40 hours per week, 5 days out of 7 between 7.00 a.m. and 10.00 p.m. The hours of work will be organised according to a rota which will be issued in advance. This means that days and hours of work will vary each week. As our retreat is open 365 days of the year, working hours will include evenings, weekends, public/bank holidays and during Christmas and/or New Year. ABOUT YOU - Essential Requirements Relevant qualification or experience in culinary or hospitality An energetic, multi-tasker who will help their team whilst keeping their own area running smoothly Work under pressure, to tight deadlines and be flexible and adaptable approach Good communication skills, confident to talk to colleagues and guests.
