Job Description Lead and supervise the Shipping Team in preparing machines for dispatch - Team of 20 Coordinate and arrange trailers and loading schedules for outgoing machines Answer CSIRs, ensuring timely investigation and resolution Create, maintain, and improve Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all shipping activities Train, develop, and coach shipping staff to ensure consistent standards and compliance Complete and manage the W21 plan, ensuring targets and actions are met Control and manage the shipping budget, including packing costs and shipping consumables Conduct performance appraisals and provide regular feedback to team members Drive continuous improvement in safety, quality, cost, and delivery performance Ensure all shipping activities comply with health, safety, and company standards Essential Criteria: Previous experience in a supervisory or team-leading role, ideally within manufacturing, logistics, shipping, or dispatch Strong understanding of machine preparation, packaging, or heavy equipment shipping (or willingness to learn quickly) Proven ability to lead, motivate, and manage a team Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and plan shipping activities Experience dealing with internal and external stakeholders (e.g. production, ICS, transport providers) Ability to create and follow structured processes, including SOPs and work instructions Comfortable managing budgets and controlling costs Confident using systems, reports, and plans (e.g. W21 or similar performance tools) Good communication skills, both written and verbal The Reward The successful candidate will join a successful multi-national manufacturing company offering excellent career prospects alongside an 8% pension contribution, private healthcare, death in service, full sick pay, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, free parking, and a subsidised restaurant.
