A big part of your day is speaking to clients and candidates. Understanding what businesses actually need, qualifying people properly, and keeping things moving so deals don't drift. No hiding behind emails. No firing out bland messages hoping something lands. If you're good on the phone and like speaking to people, this is where you earn well. The commission is uncapped. There's no ceiling, so your earnings are down to what you bill. Realistically: Year 1 around 45k Year 2 around 55k Year 3 65k+ With recruitment experience, you may be able to fast track that. You'll also have the tools to do it properly working with successful recruiters that are leading and driving the business teams within it. Market-leading CRM Full tech stack for sourcing, tracking and managing candidates Systems that support you rather than slow you down You're not battling spreadsheets and broken processes. The role: Managing your own client base across your patch Business development on the phone and face to face Sourcing candidates thoroughly, not just job board farming Screening, interviewing and referencing before submission Keeping control of the process so things don't fall apart What it's like here: Relaxed, but people work. No suits. No daft rules. We don't do things like "10 before 10" or "make 60 calls before you can have a cup of tea". If you need a KPI to tell you to pick up the phone, this probably isn't a great fuit. You're trusted to crack on, look after your clients, and build your desk. Experienced team around you, low staff turnover, and people who actually help each other out. What we're looking for: Confident on the phone Commercial recruitment experience helps, but not essential Organised enough to manage multiple roles/projects properly Straightforward and able to build trust quickly Resilient when things don't go your way If you back yourself on the phone and want a role where the earnings reflect the effort, you'll do well here. If not, you won't.

Business Development Director
PossAbilities
PossAbilities is not your typical social enterprise. We're an award-winning, not-for-profit organisation supporting people with learning disabilities to live the life they choose - with joy, creativity, and purpose. We've just been named one of the Sunday Times Best Places to Work 2025. PossAbilities is not your typical social enterprise. We're an award-winning, not-for-profit organisation supporting people with learning disabilities to live the life they choose - with joy, creativity, and purpose. We've just been named one of the Sunday Times Best Places to Work 2025. We have created a 'can-do' culture, which is highly entrepreneurial, low on bureaucracy and non-corporate and we're growing fast: from 220 staff in 2014 to nearly 770 today, with a forecast turnover of £28M. It's also tremendous fun. Our HQ can be awash with animals from our farm and people with learning disabilities pop in and out of offices whether invited or not, ensuring that the place resonates with the sound of laughter.
