Electrical Design Engineer Are you an experienced Electrical Design Engineer with strong EPLAN skills and a background in power electronics? Do you enjoy taking ownership of projects and developing innovative electrical systems? If so, we would like to hear from you. A global leader in advanced photonics technologies is looking for a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to support the development of next-generation systems used across industries including food and beverage, composites, and industrial processing. This is an excellent opportunity for a senior-level engineer who enjoys both hands-on design work and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-performance solutions. Key Responsibilities Lead the electrical design of new equipment and systems. Produce and maintain electrical schematics and documentation using EPLAN. Design, modify and support electrical and electronic circuits for new product development. Support the development of next-generation power supply systems. Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure technical requirements are met. Provide technical support for existing products and assist with troubleshooting activities. Support customers and colleagues with occasional site visits and training activities. We are looking for an engineer with: A degree (or equivalent qualification) in Electrical or Electronic Engineering. Experience in electrical design, ideally using EPLAN. A strong understanding of power electronics. Experience fault-finding electrical and electronic circuits. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. A collaborative approach and the ability to work independently. Willingness to travel occasionally to support customers and projects. Desirable Experience Previous experience working within industrial equipment, automation, power supplies, or special-purpose machinery. Experience supporting products throughout their lifecycle. Senior-level engineering experience with the ability to lead electrical design activities. Working Conditions 37.5 hours per week on site (with 15 hours remote work per month allowance) Monday to Friday.
