Restructuring and Insolvency Solicitor A leading international law firm is looking to appoint a talented Restructuring and Insolvency Solicitor to join its highly regarded London team. The Restructuring and Insolvency Solicitor will join a team known for advising corporates, lenders, insolvency practitioners, directors, investors, stakeholders and other key parties on challenging financial and operational distress matters. This role would suit a commercially minded Restructuring and Insolvency Solicitor who enjoys technically interesting work, client contact and the opportunity to be part of a collaborative, ambitious London practice. The Restructuring and Insolvency Solicitor's role The successful Restructuring and Insolvency Solicitor will advise on a wide range of restructuring and insolvency matters, including corporate restructurings, administrations, liquidations, distressed transactions, security enforcement, insolvency litigation, recovery actions and advisory work for directors, creditors and officeholders. The Restructuring and Insolvency Solicitor will support on both domestic and international matters, often involving multiple stakeholders, complex commercial issues and time-sensitive decision-making. Day-to-day, the Restructuring and Insolvency Solicitor will be involved in: Advising on corporate restructuring and insolvency processes Supporting administrators, liquidators, receivers and other officeholders Acting for lenders, creditors, directors, investors and distressed businesses Advising on administrations, liquidations, CVAs, schemes and restructuring plans Handling contentious insolvency matters, including claims against directors, transaction challenges and recovery actions Supporting on distressed M&A and asset sales Advising on security enforcement and creditor rights Working on cross-border restructuring and insolvency matters Drafting, reviewing and negotiating legal documents Managing client relationships and contributing to business development activity This is a strong opportunity for a Restructuring and Insolvency Solicitor who wants exposure to sophisticated work within an international firm, while still benefiting from close Partner access and meaningful career development. The Role As a Senior Insolvency Administrator , you'll be responsible for managing a varied caseload of corporate insolvency appointments , with minimal supervision. You'll work alongside experienced IPs and support more junior members of the team, ensuring that all statutory duties and regulatory requirements are met. Key Responsibilities Independently manage a caseload of corporate insolvency cases including CVLs, MVLs, Administrations and occasionally CVAs. Liaise with directors, creditors, accountants and other stakeholders. Conduct investigations into director conduct and antecedent transactions where necessary. Prepare estimated outcome statements, deficiency accounts and other financial documents. Support and mentor junior administrators where appropriate. Ensure full compliance with current insolvency legislation and internal case management procedures. Requirements Minimum of 3 years' experience in corporate insolvency case administration. A good understanding of insolvency legislation and best practice. CPI qualification is desirable, but not essential. Experience using insolvency case management software (e.g., IPS, Turnkey or equivalent). Strong communication and organisational skills. Are you an insolvency professional looking to join a close-knit, specialist team? We are working with a boutique insolvency and business recovery practice, who are based in Leicestershire. They are seeking to hire a job opportunity for a Case Administrator (available at up to Senior Administrator) to join their growing practice. You will play a key role in managing a varied portfolio of corporate insolvency cases (mainly CVLs and MVLs) as well as some personal insolvency work. With around 120 cases active at any time, this is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of cases from start to finish, while working in a collaborative, supportive environment. Responsibilities: Manage a caseload of insolvency appointments (primarily CVLs and MVLs, with some bankruptcies and solvent liquidations). Take ownership of cases from initial instruction through to closure, ensuring all statutory deadlines and requirements are met. Draft and file statutory documents, reports, and correspondence with creditors, shareholders, and other stakeholders. Liaise with directors, shareholders, creditors, HMRC, and other third parties in a professional manner. Support the Licensed Insolvency Practitioner (IP) in the management of circa 120 open cases. Maintain accurate case records and ensure compliance with insolvency regulations and best practice. Assist with preparing progress reports, financial reviews, and closure documentation. Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve case management efficiency. Work collaboratively in a small team environment, supporting junior staff where needed.
