Senior Civil Engineer Location: Durham Company: Multidisciplinary Consultancy Type: Full-Time Permanent (Hybrid - 2 days WFH) Salary: 45,000 - 55,000 The role: Current civils project portfolio includes septic tank replacement scheme, highway and drainage design, estate road and drainage design for residential development, civil engineering design covering levels, drainage, highways interfaces and earthworks Working as a lead civils designer. Delivering efficient and cost effect projects to satisfy client requirements whilst coordinating deliverables. Working collaboratively with other disciplines. Liaising with relevant statutory authorities for section agreement approvals. Producing drainage and external works designs for co-ordination with other disciplines. Providing technical support to the multi-discipline team. Completing H&S risk assessments in coordination with CDM requirements. Preparing technical specifications and assisting the quantity surveying team with the development of Bills of Quantities. Visiting sites and attending meetings. Carrying out inspections and surveys as required. Providing leadership and support to other team members (include mentoring and supporting new Graduate team members). Completing project reports. Contributing as appropriate to planning of project work and resourcing planning of the infrastructure team Requirements: A degree in civil or structural engineering with significant post-qualification experience Be a Chartered Engineer or currently working towards chartership Experience working for an engineering consultancy in the UK managing project delivery and providing leadership Have experience using PDS, Civils 3D, AutoCAD, and / or Microdrainage Be fully competent in the conceptual and detailed design of infrastructure projects, including earthworks, roads and drainage.
