Role Overview We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Operations Facilities Coordinator to support a key operational transformation project within our production environment. This role will be responsible for coordinating the reconfiguration of existing warehouse and production assembly areas to create additional assembly capacity and improve operational flow. The successful candidate will manage the safe and efficient removal of existing racking systems, coordinate the transfer of stock to an offsite storage facility, and work closely with production, warehouse, engineering, and facilities teams to minimise operational disruption throughout the project. This is a hands-on coordination role requiring strong organisational skills, stakeholder communication, and the ability to manage multiple moving parts within operational build environment. The role will also require the ability to interpret and work with CAD drawings to support layout planning and operational changes, including designing and coordinating layouts for both new and existing production assembly areas. The role will report directly to the Operations Director and will provide regular progress updates, detailed activity plans, and weekly status reporting throughout the duration of the project. Key Responsibilities Project Coordination Coordinate the end-to-end reorganisation of the current warehouse and production assembly areas. Support the creation and implementation of a new production assembly space. Develop and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, activity trackers, and critical path schedules. Create comprehensive plans outlining all project activities, responsibilities, dependencies, and milestones. Ensure project milestones are achieved within agreed timescales. Drive project execution through structured coordination and follow-up activities. Layout Planning & Facilities Support Interpret and work with CAD drawings to support warehouse and assembly area reconfiguration. Develop and coordinate layouts for both new and existing production assembly areas to optimise operational flow, safety, and space utilisation. Assist in planning production line layouts, material flow, storage locations, and operator access areas. Coordinate the dismantling and removal of warehouse racking systems. Organise the safe movement and relocation of stock to an offsite warehouse facility. Liaise with external contractors, storage providers, and internal departments to ensure smooth operations. Monitor space utilisation and recommend improvements to operational layouts and workflows. Production & Operational Support Work closely with Production, Warehouse, Engineering, and Operations teams to minimise downtime and operational disruption. Coordinate movement schedules to maintain continuity of production activities. Identify operational risks, constraints, and dependencies and escalate issues promptly to the Operations Director. Ensure all activities are aligned with operational priorities and business requirements. Meetings, Communication & Reporting Lead and coordinate regular project review meetings with cross-functional teams. Drive accountability for actions and ensure follow-up on agreed activities. Provide weekly status updates and progress reports directly to the Operations Director. Track project activities, risks, actions, and completion dates. Facilitate communication between stakeholders to ensure alignment throughout the project. Maintain accurate documentation relating to stock movement, facility changes, and project activities. Health, Safety & Compliance Ensure all project activities are carried out in accordance with company health and safety procedures and policies. Support safe planning and execution of warehouse moves, racking removal, equipment relocation, and assembly area modifications. Conduct or support risk assessments, method statements, and safe systems of work related to project activities. Ensure contractors and third-party suppliers comply with site safety standards and operational requirements. Identify and escalate any health and safety risks associated with layout changes, stock movement, or operational disruption. Promote a strong safety culture throughout the project and ensure all activities maintain compliance with operational and regulatory standards. Work closely with Health & Safety teams to ensure new and existing production assembly areas are designed and operated safely and efficiently. Skills & Experience Required Essential Previous experience in operations coordination, facilities coordination, warehouse projects, or production support environments. Experience creating and managing detailed project plans and activity schedules. Ability to interpret and work with CAD drawings and facility layouts. Experience planning or coordinating production assembly layouts and operational workspace changes. Strong organisational and project coordination skills. Experience coordinating warehouse moves, stock relocation, or facilities changes. Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities. Experience leading project review meetings and driving action completion. Good understanding of health and safety requirements within operational or manufacturing environments. Ability to manage multiple priorities and work to tight deadlines. Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel and project tracking tools. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving capability. Desirable Experience within manufacturing or production environments. Knowledge of warehouse layouts, racking systems, or inventory movement processes. Experience coordinating contractors or external suppliers. Familiarity with project management methodologies or planning software. NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent health & safety qualification. Personal Attributes Highly organised and methodical.
