Senior Control Systems Engineer Location - Glasgow Are you experienced in PLC and SCADA systems across the full project lifecycle? Designing, developing and implementing PLC and SCADA/DCS systems Working across the full project lifecycle, from concept through to delivery Producing design and test documentation (FDS, DDS, test specifications) Carrying out factory acceptance testing (FAT) with internal teams and clients Modifying and upgrading existing systems, as well as supporting new builds Reviewing and checking technical work produced by others Supporting and mentoring less experienced engineers Where you'll be doing it: You'll be joining a well-established engineering business working on control and automation projects across energy, renewables, water and manufacturing sectors. Projects are often within highly regulated environments, focused on improving performance and efficiency at scale. What you'll need: Experience with PLC platforms such as Siemens, Rockwell or Schneider Strong SCADA configuration experience (e.g. WinCC, PCS7, Zenon or similar) Ability to write software to IEC61131 standards (ladder, FBD, ST, SFC) Experience producing technical specifications and project documentation Understanding of full project lifecycle and QA processes Strong problem-solving skills and a structured approach Willingness to travel when required Full UK driving licence We appreciate your CV may not be up to date. Senior QA Automation / SDET Engineer (SC + NPPV3 Cleared) Birmingham 6 Month Contract £400-£450/day (Outside IR35) Hands on Senior QA Automation Engineer / SDET (Software Development Engineer in Test) engineer needed with both SC and NPPV3 Security Clearance , plus strong hands-on experience with JUnit, Cucumber, and Selenium WebDriver . 6 Month Rolling Contract based in Birmingham . Ability to analyse complex systems, identify risks, and design effective test strategies. Experience with Git , Jira, Confluence , and related engineering tools. Desirable Skills: Testing microservices at scale, including contract testing approaches. containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP). Understanding of BDD/TDD practices and quality driven engineering.Monitoring and observability tools (Grafana, Prometheus, ELK). Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across technical and non-technical teams.
