Senior Sous Chef
The Cross Keys - Llanfynydd Brymbo, Clwyd
We are The Cross Keys, a family owned independent Freehouse, nestled in the quaint North Wales village of Llanfynydd, near Wrexham. Our aim is simple. We want to do simple things really well, with quality and attention to detail in all we do and provide a happy, warm and welcoming country pub, set in the heart of the community, serving quality food, beers, wine and drink. We want to be a place where customers can feel relaxed, in quality surroundings, whether that be a special occasion, a family gathering, a pint or a glass after work, a pit stop on one of our circular pub walk or cycle routes or simply a quiet pint of glass of wine sat at the bar, with your dog and a newspaper. We are on the lookout for a Senior Sous Chef to join our Kitchen team. If you love making others happy, have a bit of spark about you, a ready smile, then come on the journey with us. Who we are looking for: Every good Head Chef needs an equally good wing person. If you have a genuine love of food, cooking, experimenting, and getting your ideas onto a menu, using fresh, quality ingredients, in a bespoke purpose made kitchen; we'd love to have a chat. All we ask is that you have experience of working in a commercial kitchen, producing quality food, consistently and have a 'touch on the plate'. Most importantly though, you need to love what you do and regard yourself to be very good at it. A unique opportunity to be a part of the menu development process in our new commercial kitchen. In return You'll be well looked after. We'll have some fun. Work hard. Play hard. A lovely, happy working environment, which along with the rest of the management team, you will help create and nurture. Being a part of the journey from the off as we approach the opening. Freedom to express yourself in all areas of the business. Staff nights out. A new kitchen, with all the kit you need. Free rolling views over the Welsh mountains, with plenty of Welsh air to breathe. A salary starting at £34,000 a year, plus equal share of tips 28 days annual holiday Workplace Pension Scheme Employee Discount Job Type: Full-time Pay: From £34,000.00 per year Work Location: In person
