They re now looking for a Mechanical Inspector to join their inspection team at their facility near Uxbridge. This is a hands-on inspection role where you ll carry out product verification of precision components, ensuring they meet engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards. You ll play a key role in maintaining compliance and efficiency across the production schedule, supporting both manufacturing and quality operations. Mechanical Inspector Responsibilities Carry out inspection and testing of components using a range of measurement tools and techniques. Verify products against engineering drawings and technical documentation. Generate and maintain accurate inspection documentation. Use SAP to record work in progress, track batches, and log non-conformances. Ensure all inspection equipment is correctly calibrated and maintained. Contribute to 5S and continuous improvement initiatives across the department. Handle and store components carefully to prevent damage and ensure traceability. Maintain strict adherence to health, safety, and quality standards. Mechanical Inspector Profile Previous mechanical inspection experience within a manufacturing or engineering environment. Confident in reading and interpreting engineering drawings. Skilled in the use of inspection tools and measuring equipment (e.g. micrometers, verniers, gauges). Strong numeracy, geometry, and attention-to-detail skills. Basic knowledge of Health & Safety procedures. Good computer literacy (Microsoft Office and SAP). Experience with CMMs, GD&T, or AS9102 FAIRs would be advantageous. GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English; an engineering apprenticeship is preferred. Apply now for more information.
