HGV Technician We are currently seeking an experienced HGV Technician to join our Service Department team based at our head office premises in Askam-In-Furness. Joining our well established family business, who provide automotive services to clients across the North. Promoting operational excellence and always seeking to improve our workshop facilities to meet the demand of the ever-evolving automotive industry. Our service department operates a fully equipped workshop undertaking service, repair, maintenance and MOT's to a variety of cars, vans, light and heavy commercial vehicles. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in maintaining and repairing heavy goods vehicles, ensuring that they are safe and roadworthy at all times. This role would may also suit an experienced vehicle mechanic looking to progress into a HGV technician role. Benefits : Competitive basic salary of £28,000 with a OTE of £37,600 Monthly earnings potential of £700 to £800 through commissions and bonuses Working hours: 08 30, Monday to Friday (30-minute lunch break); Saturday rota of 1 in 3 or 1 in 5 Opportunities for career development within a reputable dealership Supportive team environment with modern facilities and multiple service bays Ongoing manufacturer training and professional development programmes Duties of the Service Advisor : Providing exceptional customer service to ensure a seamless and professional experience Advising customers on vehicle servicing, repairs, and maintenance plans Selling service plans, tyres, brakes, and other vehicle accessories Managing workshop workflow and liaising with technicians to ensure timely job completion Maintaining accurate records using Kerridge, CDK, RTC, or 1Link software systems Contributing to achieving dealership targets and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction Requirements : Previous experience as a Service Advisor or a strong customer service background within the motor trade; Service Advisors from non-motor trade backgrounds may be considered Excellent communication skills and a professional attitude Organised with the ability to manage multiple appointments efficiently Knowledge of Kerridge, CDK, RTC, or 1Link software (desirable but not essential) Friendly, approachable manner with a focus on delivering top-quality customer care If you are ready to advance your automotive career and thrive within a successful dealership, we want to hear from you.
