Responsibilities Installation of: Solar PV - Domestic systems Battery storage Electrical remedial works including full rewires DMEVs - Decentralised Extraction Mechanical Ventilation units Electrical testing, surveying and reporting Create solar designs and specifications, including cable routing, panel strings and recommendations for system optimisation Creating quotes Completing commissioning documents and post install evidence Fault finding and diagnostics work as and when required Clear and supportive communication with internal staff, partner installers and residents Assist colleagues with planning and arranging works, fault reporting and survey outcomes Providing electrical services as part of enabling works in preperation for external wall insulation installs on a larger social housing projects Progression Pathways Solar installation certification if not currently held Design, testing and commissioning of solar PV systems if not currently held ASHP electrical certification and commissioning ESH (electric storage heaters) designing and installation Commercial and large scale electrical works, including solar PV and monitoring systems Technology assessment - Researching and advising on new technologies as the industry evolves The Candidate NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation (or similar) 18th Edition Wiring Regulations Inspection and testing certification (or will need to attain early on) Experience within solar PV installations would be beneficial but not required Ability to analyse risk and problem solve with the team when needed Proven experience within the electrical industry Comfortable with working at height due to the nature of the business Full UK Driving license Willingness to work flexibly and travel throughout the Southwest Experience of using Solar PV design software and National Grid Knowledge would be beneficial Software and administration literate Benefits Salary dependant on experience Monday to Friday, with overtime available if desired 22 days annual leave plus bank holidays Any tools not currently owned will be provided Vehicle provided Pension Contribution Scheme Christmas period shut down Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: £35,000.00-£45,000.00 per year Work Location: In person
