As an Occupational Therapist, you will provide direct clinical care which will encompass person-centred OT assessment and interventions, as well as work in an integrated way with the support teamand wider multidisciplinary team. The occupational therapy team across the 5 homes consists of 3 occupational therapists, supported by a clinical lead OT who steers the model of care and OT pathway. The wider team includes Psychology and Speech and Language therapy, to assist the service in providing outcome based care and support pathways. The services also have activity coordinators, who support the delivery of meaningful occupations. You will have a thorough induction and support from experienced OT colleagues, and will regularly meet with the Head Occupational Therapist for support and supervision as required. In this role you will assess, implement and develop an OT treatment programme according to individual's diagnosis and identified needs. This will be based upon findings from assessments and team formulation in order to develop treatment plans & care and support plans. Working collaboratively with the education team, you will deliver bespoke Occupational Therapy assessment and intervention to pupils who may have experienced developmental trauma, be neurodivergent or have SEMH needs.
