About the job As Assistant Development Chef you will be assisting the NPD Development Chef in creating new products through demand and innovation whilst maintaining the high standards that the company are famous for. Your expertise will be used to work on specific briefs as well as originating menu ideas to target new business. Key tasks Scale up the recipes and review the processes for bulk preparation and production then instructing and training their team of cooks. React to customer demands and blue skying new ideas whilst researching new ingredients and trends. Assist the NPD Chef with the quality management of their food. Present to the company products and ingredients as the customer would expect to see them considering how such products may go through the factory, including presentations either in house or at sites that the customer requests. Conduct factory trials with the production manager and technical manager, testing the feasibility of products. Sample products from the factory via the daily taste panel ensuring our quality standards are maintained and planned production and recipes are absolutely followed. About You You must be a creative and passionate foodie! Previous experience within a similar food manufacturing environment is essential.
