What you'll do on a typical day: Work as a part of two-person team delivering products to customer premises (room of choice) on multidrop basis - an average of 16 drops per day off peak and 24 drop per day in peak season Assist the delivery driver in parking and manoeuvring a company vehicle as well as loading and unloading of vehicles as and when required Provide effective customer service while ensuring goods are delivered in excellent condition Ensure that customers are kept informed of their estimated time of delivery and any issues are communicated in a polite and courteous manner What you need to succeed at GXO: Experience of dealing with multi drop home delivery preferred but not essential Excellent customer service skills, both written and verbal Willingness to complete manual handling tasks such as pulling, lifting, and pushing Can do attitude with a knack for problem solving Willingness to undertake pre-employment Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS Check) Be prepared to commute to Hermiston Gait, Edinburgh (EH11 4DG) for the required shift pattern We engineer faster, smarter, leaner supply chains.
