Our specialist children's practitioners provide child-led play therapy sessions on a weekly basis, usually for 6-16 weeks. Sessions give children the opportunity to process what has happened to them and make sense of the complicated and confusing emotions they may be experiencing. Our practitioners work from our purpose-designed therapeutic playroom in Colchester or from some of our outreach premises in other areas, using a range of techniques including sand tray, art and imaginative play. What we expect from our Sessional Counsellors/Play Therapists: Support up to eight CARA clients each week Maintain and update accurate database records of clients Diploma in Counselling or equivalent, with a minimum of 400 counselling hours. Certificate in Counselling Children, Play Therapy qualification or equivalent Experience of working therapeutically with children with psychological and behavioural problems. An understanding of how trauma affects children both physically and emotionally. An ability to work creatively to enable children to process their conscious and unconscious emotions. An ability to work collaboratively with parents, while protecting children s confidentiality. To liaise with other agencies including social care, Children and Adolescent Mental Health service (CAMHS) and schools, and attend meetings and provide reports, where required. You can expect to work on all types of highway design including small residential developments to major road design for large commercial and residential developments. Additionally undertaking both large and small scale below ground drainage design projects for all types of schemes, both residential and commercial including SuDS elements, providing drainage strategy reports for support of planning applications through to detailed design. Liaison with statutory bodies such as Southern Water & Thames Water to progress Section 102, 104 and 106 agreements. Liaise with Highway authorities to progress Section 38 and 278 applications through to completion. To attend design and site meetings / inspections. Liaise with design team members, colleagues and any other professionals to communicate information on matters relating to your work. Write technical reports for submission to relevant Authorities i.e. SUDS, FRA, drainage. Collaborate with the Client and the wider design team across other disciplines to coordinate the design. Ensure all project documentation is produced in accordance with company quality management standards. Maintain own personal development and training needs, being proactive to arrange CPD events and seminars for personal benefit and that of others. What you need to succeed To be degree qualified in Civil Engineering Hold a full UK driving licence To have experience in using Microsoft Office and other design software packages such as AutoCAD, Microdrainage, PDS, Civil 3D, Causeway Flow, etc. To have the ability to carry out the design of road and drainage schemes independently with limited supervision. Experience in producing level strategy / cut and fill exercises.
