SAS Developer - Birmingham and remote - 6 months+/RATE: £393 per day inside IR35 One of our Blue Chip Clients is urgently looking for a SAS Developer. For this role you will need to be onsite in Birmingham 2 days per week. Please find some details below: CONTRACTOR MUST BE ELIGIBLE FOR BPSS MUST BE PAYE THROUGH UMBRELLA Key Responsibilities: Own end-to-end technical design artefacts covering SAS EG, SAS DI, and SAS Viya environments. Define standards for SAS code structure, performance optimisation, and reusability. Basel & Regulatory Delivery Translate Basel III/Basel 3.1 business requirements into SAS functional and technical designs. Design SAS solutions supporting RWA, EAD, capital calculations, and regulatory reporting. Ensure SAS implementations are aligned with regulatory expectations and audit requirements. Platform Migration & Modernisation Lead SAS platform upgrades and migrations, including movement to cloud-hosted SAS Viya environments. Define migration strategies, cutover approaches, and BAU stabilisation plans. Ensure minimal risk and disruption during regulatory-critical migrations. Data, Controls & Performance Design SAS data processing flows for large, complex datasets with a focus on efficiency and scalability. Implement reconciliation, control checks, and defect root-cause analysis within SAS solutions. Ensure alignment with data quality, governance, and regulatory control standards. Leadership & Stakeholder Management Act as the technical design authority for SAS across the programme. Guide and mentor onshore and offshore SAS teams; review code and technical documentation. Work closely with Business Design Leads, Information Architects, and client stakeholders. Required Experience & Skills: Essential: Strong hands-on and design experience with SAS (EG, DI, Base SAS, SAS Viya). Proven experience delivering Basel III/Basel 3.1 solutions using SAS. Deep understanding of risk and regulatory reporting processes in banking. Experience leading technical design and managing SAS delivery teams. Desirable: Experience with SAS cloud migrations or modernisation programmes. Exposure to multiple UK banking clients and regulatory contexts. Strong knowledge of SDLC, quality management, and release governance. Ability to bridge technical and functional discussions with senior stakeholders. Data Architect Telford/ Hybrid - 2 days per week onsite Max rate: 644 per day inside IR35 6 months initial contract Active SC clearance Are you a seasoned Data Architect with deep SAS expertise? We're looking for a technical leader to own the architecture and design of enterprise-scale SAS solutions across both legacy SAS and modern SAS Viya environments. You'll define integration patterns with enterprise data warehouses, provide architectural governance, and shape migration strategies from SAS 9.x to Viya. This is a key role where you'll act as the technical authority for SAS-related decisions, working closely with engineering teams, platform specialists, and suppliers.
