Position: Retail Security Officer Location: Barry Pay Rate: £13.85 per hour Hours: Various between 6am and midnight Shifts: Various over 7 days Your Time at Work As a Retail Security Officer you will be responsible for: - Providing a visible uniformed deterrent, to contribute to the safety and security of the client's premises and staff - Carrying out Company Policy on loss prevention and ensuring the safety of staff and visitors - Lawfully deter potential troublemakers on site - Observe and report incidents using the correct reporting systems - Carrying out all duties assigned by the client or manager to whom you are responsible - Ensuring site knowledge is kept up to date and developments at the local level are identified - Understanding and implementing any Fire and Safety evacuation procedures - Assisting, if required by the Client, with staff and contractor searches - Ensuring that the Security base is always maintained in a clean and tidy condition - Conducting yourself, at all times, in a manner which will bring credit to yourself and the Company, ensuring a full uniform is worn, and an SIA licence is clearly displayed Our Perfect Worker It is crucial to have great communication and customer service skills. A lot of admin is digital and paperless, so you'll need to be tech-savvy enough to use our digital devices.
