Senior CDM Advisor

I am recruiting on behalf of a well-established, multidisciplinary construction and property consultancy with a strong reputation for delivering projects across the North West. The business works across a diverse range of sectors and has built a loyal client base through its technical expertise, collaborative approach and commitment to delivering high-quality projects. With continued growth across its project portfolio, the business is looking to strengthen its Health & Safety and CDM offering through the appointment of an experienced Senior CDM Advisor. The Opportunity This is an excellent opportunity for a highly experienced CDM professional who can bring a wealth of knowledge, practical expertise and commercial awareness to an established consultancy environment. You'll work with a wide range of clients, project teams and stakeholders, providing expert guidance on CDM compliance and influencing safer design and construction practices from project inception through to completion. The role is based in Preston, with regular travel across the North West to support clients and projects. Key Responsibilities Acting as Principal Designer under CDM Regulations 2015. Providing specialist CDM and Health & Safety advice to clients, design teams and contractors. Managing and delivering CDM services across multiple projects. Leading design risk management workshops and reviews. Preparing and reviewing Pre-Construction Information. Supporting clients in discharging their duties under CDM Regulations. Undertaking site inspections and health & safety audits. Reviewing construction phase plans and associated documentation. Producing technical reports and client guidance. Building and maintaining strong client relationships. Supporting business development opportunities where appropriate. About You This role requires a candidate with extensive practical experience and exceptional technical knowledge of CDM legislation. You will have: Significant experience as a CDM Advisor, CDM Consultant or Principal Designer. Comprehensive knowledge of CDM Regulations 2015 and associated legislation. Strong experience working with clients, designers and contractors across construction projects. Excellent understanding of design risk management. The confidence to challenge and influence project teams where required. Strong report writing and communication skills. The ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel throughout the North West. Qualifications NEBOSH Construction Certificate Membership of APS, IOSH or a similar professional body.
