We're investing where it counts: our specialist Parent Assess team delivers high quality inhouse assessments, and every Family Help Team is strengthened by an Integrated Family Domestic Abuse Support Advisor and dedicated clinical psychology input, ensuring a confident response to domestic abuse and complex needs. We champion meaningful family participation through Family Group Conferencing, Family Led Meetings and consistent use of genograms and ecomaps. Families also benefit from our award winning Family Information Service, a strengthened parenting offer and one of the best care leaver services in the country. Ofsted recognised the strength of our culture and approach: "Senior leaders and politicians are relentless in their drive to continue to improve the lives of Cornwall's children and families Staff's care, commitment and child focused approach shine through." - Ofsted, July 2024 Cornwall offers forward thinking social work in a place where wellbeing comes first. With stunning coastlines, strong communities and a culture that values balance and professional pride, this is a service where practitioners thrive - and where your leadership will shape the future of children's services. As one of the fastest growing universities in the UK over recent years, we have a new strategy for the next decade, emphasising our commitment to widening opportunity through the power of education and contributing our talents to creating a fairer world, and a more prosperous region. We are putting inspirational learning and impactful research at the heart of this strategy, recognising our academic expertise as our greatest asset. This is a rare opportunity to build a new academic portfolio from inception to delivery, shaping curriculum, partnerships, staffing and facilities from the ground up. The postholder will play a defining role in establishing York St John as a regional leader in Built Environment education. The Role In May 2026, the University decided to establish a new portfolio of programmes across the Built Environment to address significant skills shortages in the region, boost our graduate outcomes and enhance the power of our place-based research. We are seeking an Associate Head for the Built Environment to work with industry to lead the development and implementation of the Built Environment portfolio strategy in line with the University's Strategy for Social Impact. In this unique and strategically pivotal role within the University you will lead high-level employer and professional body engagement and shape an industry-embedded, professionally aligned curriculum. You will also be responsible for recruiting a team of academics to deliver our new Built Environment provision, and work with colleagues to secure the right technical support. In this role, you will be part of the School Academic Leadership Team and will work closely with four other Associate Heads, our Directors of Teaching and Learning, Research and Innovation, PGR, EDI, to support the Head of School in making key strategic decisions relating to a range of topics including staffing, recruitment, space utilisation, resource needs, external partnerships and internationalisation. Once the portfolio is operational, you will build and lead a high-performing academic community, combining experienced academics and industry practitioners, and create a collaborative, inclusive and delivery-focused culture. You will lead by example as an active researcher and in delivering teaching to at least one of the programme areas. You will facilitate good communication across your teams and motivate colleagues to be the best that they can be. An approachable, decisive, and inspiring leader, you will be an enthusiastic advocate for your programmes and actively engaged with the university strategic plan. As a School, we are committed to student-centred teaching, applied creative practice, co-design with business and live industry briefs, in order to challenge our learners to think about the world in different ways. We are very active in projects involving work-related learning (including partnerships with a variety of external industries and companies), and active in work to decolonise the curriculum and to build supportive and inclusive pedagogies. We have a thriving research community formed from a range of practitioners, action researchers and traditional researchers. There are opportunities for colleagues to share research and get involved with wider research projects, and colleagues are encouraged to develop research-informed teaching. We have a combination of early career researchers as well as active senior researchers, and we engage with a range of academic interests that impact our excellent teaching provision and expanding research portfolio. With around 70 staff in the School in total, we are a friendly, creative and collegiate community. Additional Information About ENN A Letter from the Board of Trustees At ENN we are truly passionate about what we do. Over the past 30 years ENN has become a powerful and recognised name in the nutrition sector, working with others to influence outcomes around the world. We produce highly regarded research and publications that inform and inspire practitioners worldwide and we convene technical interest groups and communities of practice who are the 'go to' networks for their specialisms. Our partners know and trust ENN for quality, rigour and impartiality. Our work makes a real difference in the lives of children in some of the most difficult parts of the world. The ENN-led Operational Guidance on Infant Feeding in Emergencies has become the key global policy guidance and has been endorsed by the World Health Assembly, and our technical leadership and convening has facilitated real change in awareness and a new narrative, challenging siloed approaches to Wasting and Stunting management. Our work has never been more important. Nutritional challenges are growing across the world; undernutrition rates may be slowly decreasing but other forms of malnutrition are on the rise. The positive progress that is being made is unequal and many countries are now facing the double burden of both under and over nutrition. Crises around the world are increasingly protracted and the historical and artificial silos of 'humanitarian' and 'development' don't reflect real needs which are much more fluid. Emerging threats, such as the broader impact on nutrition of the COVID-19 pandemic bring new challenges to address. At present our annual turnover is around £1.5m, we employ 20+ staff and engage up to a dozen consultants. With our 2024-28 strategy, we are keen to drive even greater impact by exploring new and innovative approaches and increasing our reach further still. We do so with funding in place from a range of institutional partners and private foundations. We hope the enclosed information helps you to explore ENN and the role. With best wishes, The ENN Board of Trustees Vision Our vision is: 'Every individual confronted by malnutrition has access to the knowledge, tools, services and resources they require to meet their needs' Our History Founded in 1996 in Ireland, ENN has a long and rich history in global nutrition. Following an evaluation of the Great Lakes Emergency in 1995, implementing agencies identified an urgent need to establish a vehicle for capturing programming experiences and preserving institutional memory in the emergency food and nutrition sector. This gave rise to ENN's publication, Field Exchange, which was first produced in 1996, designed to stimulate critical thinking and learning, influence research agendas and cross-fertilise information and exchange. ENN was generously hosted by Trinity College Dublin for its first eight years . click apply for full job details

Treasure Terms of Reference Introduction Emergency Nutrition Network (ENN) is a UK-registered charity dedicated to reducing global malnutrition through knowledge exchange, research, and advocacy. Since its founding, ENN has worked at the forefront of nutrition thought leadership, enabling evidence-based programming and policy development to improve nutrition outcomes in low- and middle-income countries and crisis settings. We work in close partnership with national governments, UN bodies, NGOs, academic institutions, and funders to strengthen the design and delivery of nutrition interventions. Our areas of expertise include infant and young child feeding in emergencies, the management of wasting and stunting, adolescent nutrition, and maternal and infant care for at-risk groups, including through our MAMI initiative. ENN also publishes Field Exchange , a globally recognised technical publication in humanitarian nutrition. ENN is governed by a diverse and skilled Board of Trustees, who provide strategic direction and ensure that the organisation operates in line with its charitable objectives and legal obligations. Our trustees play a vital role in upholding ENN's values: independence, integrity, collaboration, and field-driven insight.
