We're currently recruiting for a Highway Maintenance Operative based in Kings Lynn (PE30 5BN) on a temp-to-perm basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dedicated team maintaining vital road infrastructure across the region. Schedule: 5-week rota (4 weeks nights, 1 week days) Days: 07:00-15:30 (Mon-Fri) Nights: 19:00-03:30 (Mon-Fri) Duties: Summer: Lane closures, barrier repairs, inspections, debris removal, cone deployment Winter: Gritting across the network Training (within 8 months, performance-based): IPV Motorway Training Lantra TTMBC & 12A Traffic Management Highways England Winter Maintenance Requirements: HGV Class 2 licence Valid Driver CPC Pay & Benefits: Days: 13.84/hr Nights: 18.45/hr Overtime: Base + 50% (Weekdays, Sat, Sun) Standby Retainer: 143/week Winter Maintenance: Paid as overtime This role offers full training, a clear career path, and long-term stability for the right candidate.
