Role Summary We are seeking a senior data professional to lead analytics, business intelligence, and data delivery initiatives across the business. The role will be highly hands-on, requiring strong Power BI, SQL, and data engineering capability alongside stakeholder management and team leadership. The successful candidate will design and deliver dashboards, data models, reporting solutions, and scalable pipelines that support operational and strategic decision-making. Key Responsibilities Lead the design, build, and maintenance of Power BI dashboards and reporting solutions for business users and leadership teams. Develop and optimize SQL-based data models, ETL/ELT pipelines, and analytics solutions across cloud and on-prem environments. Work hands-on with Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Synapse, SSIS, Python/PySpark, and related tools to support data transformation and automation. Translate business requirements into clear reporting and data solutions, working closely with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams. Manage data quality, validation, governance, and compliance reporting to ensure trusted outputs. Support migration and modernization initiatives, including movement to cloud-based lakehouse or warehouse environments. Mentor analysts or junior BI team members and contribute to better delivery practices, agile ways of working, and process improvement. Required Skills Strong experience in Power BI, DAX, and dashboard development. Advanced SQL and data modelling skills. Experience with Python and/or PySpark for analytics or data engineering. Hands-on knowledge of Databricks and cloud data platforms, ideally Azure-based. Experience with ETL tools such as Azure Data Factory, SSIS, Alteryx, or similar. Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, including presenting to senior leaders. Experience leading or mentoring teams in a BI, analytics, or data engineering function. Preferred Experience Background in data analytics, business intelligence, or data engineering in a senior role. Experience delivering reporting and data solutions in large, complex environments. Exposure to sectors such as retail, healthcare, manufacturing, or public sector would be beneficial. Experience supporting migration to Databricks or a modern data platform.
