Job Summary A multi-skilled manufacturing operator responsible primarily for providing Power Press operational cover and supporting production continuity. The role also provides additional manufacturing process cover across Paint, Degrease, Berk Spray and associated surface treatment activities, supporting operational flexibility within an aerospace manufacturing environment. Responsibilities Power Press Operations Provide operational cover for Power Press activities as required. Operate power presses in accordance with job operation cards and work instructions. Set up tooling and dies and adjust press parameters including stroke and tonnage as required. Interpret engineering drawings, specifications and work cards accurately. Carry out first-off and in-process inspection checks prior to formal quality inspection. Ensure tooling is used correctly and maintained in serviceable condition. Carry out minor machine maintenance and daily equipment checks. Report defects, equipment faults or non-conformances immediately. Multi-Process Manufacturing Support Provide cover for surface treatment and finishing processes including Paint, Degrease and Berk Spray. Follow all process instructions, specifications and quality requirements. Ensure correct handling, identification and traceability of components. Complete production and quality records accurately using SFDC and Time & Attendance systems. Support other manufacturing operations as required Quality & Continuous Improvement Maintain high quality standards at all times in line with aerospace manufacturing requirements. Identify and report non-conforming product or process issues. Actively contribute to continuous improvement and 5S initiatives. Required Skills and Competences Experience operating power presses within a manufacturing environment. Experience within an aerospace or precision manufacturing environment preferred. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation. Experience of surface treatment or finishing processes desirable; training can be provided. Strong attention to detail with a quality-focused approach. Flexible and adaptable to cover multiple manufacturing processes. Ability to work effectively as part of a team and communicate issues clearly. Competent in the use of production reporting systems. General: Maintain good housekeeping practises in line with the Company 5s standards Comply with all relevant internal rules, policy and procedures, including those related to Health and Safety, Data Protection and the issued Employee Handbook Be expected to carry out any other such duties as may reasonably be required. Education & Experience Strong attention to detail and precision. Ability to read and understand engineering drawings, work cards and specifications. Ability to work to instructions with limited supervision. Capability of working in a high volume, fast-paced manufacturing environment. Good communication skills Problem solving and solutions finding attitude. Willingness and flexibility to cover multiple manufacturing processes, including Power Press, Press Brake, Paint, Degrease, and Berk Spray.
