Senior Estimator Location: Barking, London, UK Hill & Hill Recruitment are representing a well-established London contractor, renowned for delivering high-quality residential, commercial, and mixed-use projects across the city. They are currently seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to lead the estimating function from their Barking office. Role Overview The Senior Estimator will be a key member of the preconstruction team, responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates to secure new projects. The role involves managing tender submissions, collaborating closely with project teams, and providing commercial insight to support strategic growth. This position is ideal for a candidate who thrives on responsibility, enjoys leading the estimating process, and is committed to ensuring projects are competitively priced and commercially sound. Key Responsibilities Lead the estimating process for multiple high-value projects, producing detailed and accurate cost estimates. Review tender documentation, drawings, and specifications to ensure completeness and compliance. Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to gather pricing information and validate assumptions. Prepare, submit, and present tender proposals to clients and stakeholders on schedule. Analyse project risks, costs, and profitability, providing clear recommendations to senior management.
